Set Witcher game executable to run under administrator rights and in compatibility mod. Install 4 GB patch.Since Witcher 1 is an 32 bit game and can’t use more than 2 GB of memory we will need the 4 GB patch to make it use higher amounts of RAM. This will ensure a faster game and prevent most of the game crashes. Download it below. The Witcher 3 is the first game in the franchise to feature fast traveling, to the delight of many fans who have played the previous installments and have had to make the long, painful trek between the swamp and Vizima in the first game, making the gameplay much longer and even less enjoyable than it should have been. Still, it must be noted. GotoPrologWinter - instant travel to the winter version of White Orchard. GotoSkellige - instant travel to the Skellige Isles. GotoWyzima - instant travel to Royal Palace in Vizima. ShowAllFT(1) - uncover all signposts on the game map (the ones used for quick travel) ShowKnownPins(1) - shows all question marks on the world map.

Fast Travel Bug!
Got the Witcher 3 from Steam a while back and it's great. However I'm in Skellige and I can't fast travel. Here's a summary
1. Only trying to fast travel from signs since I know you can't fast travel from just any random area.
2. The signpost legend has a red cross circle
3. All fast travel signs have disappeared from the map. Be it Novigrad or any other area. Even with the right filter used.
4. No mods are or have been used.
I'm trying to get back to Novigrad but unfortunately I have no means anymore. I'm 90% sure this is a bug or I'm just overlooking something. Thankfully this is the PC version so maybe there's a command on the unlockable debug console or something.
Appreciate the help.

The Fast travel system is a mechanic introduced in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt due to the significant increase in explorable areas. It enables Geralt to 'teleport' between two already discovered signposts, or to a discovered harbor if he is sailing on a boat. Geralt can also jump to a signpost located in another game region and this takes more loading time.

Additionally, if Geralt wanders to the very edge of the explorable game areas, the map interface will appear allowing him to fast travel to any signpost or harbor (if he is at sea).

Tutorial description[edit | edit source]

Signposts allow for Fast Travel between distant locations. To Fast Travel to a location, you must first visit it normally. Only then will a Fast Travel marker appear on the map for that location.
